Anguilla

Jul 24, 2025

Recently our family touched down in paradise 🌴☀️ Spending 5 days at the stunning Aurora Anguilla Resort, and it’s everything you’d imagine – calm turquoise waters, soft white sand, and luxury that feels effortless.

We’ve been exploring some of the island’s best beaches, and honestly, Anguilla sets the bar high. From the serene shores of Shoal Bay to the local vibes at Meads Bay – every stretch of coastline here is uniquely magical. Whether it’s morning yoga or sunset walks in the beach, this place just gets it right.

The Architecture – Giving a Grecian look but a Caribbean vibe.

I was slightly obsessed with every angle and took way too many photos

When choosing a place for our vacation, we wanted something that was really relaxing and help us entertain our kids. And Aurora came in hot with this. my kids were really looking forward to the kids club but upon arrival many of the days were canceled due to lack of people there. We were in anguilla during their slow season. But that mean the activity center and waterpark were basically emtpy. This provided the kids tons of entertainment and allowed us to relax.

The were so thoughtly and gifted us a welcome gift. In addition to that there were some renovations going to so we were upgraded to a ocean view room on Rendezvous beach.

While typically when we visit a place we will rent a car the entire time, we chose to only rent a car one day to explore. Going back, I will for sure rent a car the entire time or at least part of the time next go around. While we explored, we visited Shoal Bay Beach, while we were there we rented some chairs from Eloidias and had some drinks.

After a few hours at the beach we headed to Blanchards beach bar for a late lunch. The food was great! I would highly recommend it!

For dinner that night we ate an Italian place, Dolce Vita, we heard there was a great sunset there but we missed it by about 30 minutes.

The rest of our trip was spent hanging around the hotel. Their beach was beautiful!

Some more photos from the trip.

One hidden gem we found was That’s a wrap – a short walk from the hotel and the food was so good.

Traveller tip – During the winter months, typically the beaches that face south are calm while the beaches that face north are rough. And Vice Versa. We were there in the summer, while the beach was not what I considered rough, I had seen photos of Rendezvous bay where it is very calm and pool like.
